cost is only $7 per person,
and always proves to be well
worth it for the amount of
fun which is enjoyed.
When I was talking to
Steve Maguire, he reported
that steel would be ready to
go on the roof on Saturday.
The sheets are quite long, so
a work crew will be needed.
Steve hopes for about six
people on the ground, and six
up top, soif you're free at all,
get in touch with him.
The fall golf tournament is
scheduled for Sept. 13th. The.
cost is $15 per person. You
can enter by leaving your
money at the bar, or giving it
directly to John Scott.
Last Saturday, John and
Joyce Scott teamed up with
Bob and Margo Richardson
from the Brussels Branch to

He Won't Come In From
the Barn will be held over at
the Blyth Summer Festival
until September 12 due to
overwhelming demand. The
play has sold out most of its
two week run a week before
the play is scheduled to open.
The new performances
will run Tuesday to Satur-
day, September 8-12 at 8:30
p.m. There is also a benefit
matinee performance on
September 5 at 2 p,m., and
all proceeds from the
matinee will go towards
retiring the debt for the addi-
tion to Blyth Memorial Hall.

mances are available at the
reeular prices of 56 for

tions and information.
He Won't Come In From
the Barn had a similar sold -
out run at the Blyth Sumner
Festival in 1977. The play is
an "agricultural comedy for
cynical times" and concerns
the protest of a traditional
farmer who is loathe to give
up family farming as he
remembers it. The barnyard
set features two cows,
several pigs and a rooster in
addition to the regular com-
plement of human actors.

nice to see our branch
represented at these func-
tions, especially when they
are one of the winning
teams.
We're happy to report that
Rosemary Armstrong is
recovering well. She's bound
to be sore and uncomfortable
for a while, but I'm sure
everyone at the branch is
relieved that things were not
any more serious than they
were. Some of our vets who
spent Um in England dur-
ing the Blitz may know only
todwell how she feels.
And to finish off for this
week, John Scott reports
that he hasn't heard any feed
back from Blanche as yet. Of
course he admits that the
fact that she is away for two
weeks may have something
to do with it!
