purchased one of the $100

match.
Wiener says he's starting
to get nervous but hasn't
really had time to think that
much about it. He says he
won't meet or speak to Jack
until the morning he arrives
when Wiener will introduce
the Golden Bear to his fami-
ly. Wiener says he thinks the
family is more excited than
he is right now. He says he
just hopes he plays well and
he'll play his own game on
the tight Huron Oaks course.
He has played well all
summer, being 3rd low pro in
the Pepsi Cola" Am and
placing in the top 10 in the
Clark tournament. At the
present time, Wiener says he
has no plans to pursue pro
golf as.a competitor but may
consider trying it again in a
few years. As for now, he's
quite happy where he iS do-
ing a great job in the sport he
loves.
Congratulations to . Harry
Jansen winner of the Brad
Smith - Don Eaton trophy for
Annual Men's Match Play.
Harry won the championship
on the last hole of play
against Gerard Meidinger.
All the matches were very
exciting this year and both
Harry and Gerard are com-
mended for making it all the
way to the finals.
Don Dupee was a winner
for the second time this year,
when he was paired with
Cam Doig on men's night: A
crier's Tourney allowed
players to revert their worst
holes to par. Then a draw
was made and Cam and Don
were winners. Cam shot a
fine score of 6 under 30.
The Maitland Junior In-
vitation was held last
Wednesday, and the
Seaforth Juniors cleaned up
by bringing home all 4
trophies. Greg Core had his
second win in a row, taking
the Junior division, Jerry
Wright won the Juvenile,
Ray Anstett took the Bantam
division. Deb Core made a
fine showing and took the
girl's division.
On Friday, the juniors had
a Stapleford tourney here
and Ron Pryce gained the
most points. The Junior mat-
ches still to be played pair
the following: Todd Doig vs
Charlie Malcolm and Rob
Core vs. Al Nigh. These mat-
ches must be completed by
Sept. 1 so we can have a final
winner before school starts.
