The seven-year-old Greentree Joey horse was previously owned by C.W. (Jiggs) Le Beau of Brucefield. Ross Battin was second with Dandy Creek for Bill Bradley of Goderich, while Randy Henry was third with Betty T. Freedom for. Charlie Brindley of Goderich and Gerry Roebuck fifth with Nancy Meadow. Randy McLean of Goderich won both divisions of the Goderich-Clinton Pacing Series. Canadian Speed, owned by Don Beatson and James McCarthy of Granton won the first division in 2:06.2, while R.J. Misty was first in 2:08.1 for her present owner W.C. Art Lawson of London in the second. The latter is a three-year-old Scram filly raised by Randy's father Bob McLean. The first four finishers from each division will meet in the final at Clinton on Sunday. This week at Godeiich the feature event will be the Ontario Sires Stakes for three-year-old filly pacers. One additional night of 'racing has been added at Goderich, and they will also race on September 3: Listowel girl uses arm often LISTOWEL - A Listowel area girl whose arm was re- attached in a daring 17 -hour operation after a hay - mowing accident two years ago, is using the limb, "more every day...and has a good grip," according to her mother. Brenda Huber, 7, daughter of Mr. and -Mrs. David Huber of RR 4, Listowel, still can't straighten her fingers without help. She had Minor surgery recently, her first operation since the marathon one performed by Dr. Ronald Zuker on June 13, 1979. Dr. Zuker also handled the latest operation to remove skin grafts around Brenda's elbow. She was in and out of Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children in less than a day. Bikers and rockers hit Kine KINCARDINE - Big bikers and rock and rollers will be heading for Kincardine on September 5 for a rock and roll Harley bike show at the cominunity centre. Sponsored by the H.D. Cozy Good Times Co. Ltd. the day -long show will feature two top name Canadian performers, Ian Thomas and Valdy. Another band and disc jockey are also on the program. A Harley Lae show will be held on the arena floor when a $1,000 first prize will be given away. Industrial park LISTOWEL - The town of Listowel is in the process of purchasing a parcel of land in the southeast section of town to be utilized as an induslria l park. The 10.75 acres of serviced land/ will cost a total of $30,000 and a portion of the purchase price ($17,000) is budgeted to come out of the general revenue in the current budget. The town is also hoping to get financial assi stance through the pro uncial government's Industrial Parks Plan.
