Carl Fisher of Goderich gave Millet Slipper, co - owned by his brother Grant, a new 2:09.1 record in the se- cond, for her second win from seven starts this year, while Donelda Dodger, own- ed by Donald R. and Kevin A. Carter of Blyth finished second for driver Eldon Tur- cotte with Ames Shadow, driven by Randy, McLean, fourth for Jean and Ben Feagan of Goderich. Fourth place finisher Belyle Alice, an eight-year- old mare by Tarport Arnie- Alimeda by Felix Hanover was claimed for $1500 by Henry O. (Bud) Jerry of Goderich from Art Hodgins of Lucan. Brian Reeve of Sunset took low gross of the day, after a sudden death play-off against Mike Kilkenny from Ingersoll. Brian shot a great round of golf with a score of 70. Low net for the day was won by our own Bob Cor- rigan with a net of 60.
