Ben- nett read the lesson, and he chose for the theme for his sermon, Are boys better than' girls? Edward: Deeves • received the offering. Next Sunday communion will be celebrated at St. James at 1!1:15 a.m. and everyone ijwelcome to at- tend. . The Annual Galilean Ser vice will be held on August( 9th at 11:15 a.m. at Stewart Middleton's Lake Park. The Huron Church Camp young people will share the service _ with us. Please bring chairs, dishes, cutlery, and a picnic_ basket of your favorite food. Every e. is welcome to this annual event. People report Audrey Middleton, Cindy Taylor and Mrs. Fred 1VIid- dleton went to Blyth last Thursday evening to see Quiet in the Land which was much enjoyed by a large. crowd. Mrs. Fred Middleton returned to her home last week after spending five days with Andy and Barbara Grindley and family at their cottage at Snowden Acres. At the Deeves' on Satur- day were Blanche's sister Peggy and her husband Chuck Ellis and their daughter Lynda and her hus- band Gary Johnson and little Gary, all of London. Grant MacLean underwent surgery in St. Joseph's Hospital, London last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coleman and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Deitz have returned from a fishing trip in the north. Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Kyle are visiting in Nova Scotia. Vivan Cooper visited his son Gary in Detroit over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gackstetter, Guelph visited. recently with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones. St. Andrews Church will be closed for holidays during August, re -opening Sept. 6. Mr. and Mrs. Eli Denys, Darlene and Mrs. Raes motored to Vancouver. B.C. and visited the Calgary Stampede enroute. It was an enjoyable three week holi- day. Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Tim- merman have returned from a holiday in Holland visiting relatives. Wheat harvesting is well underway and the barley harvest has begun. The con- tinued dry weather in the Kippen area is hard on the corn and beans.
