Retta opened the meeting with a poem and Mrs. Marjorie Caldwell read the scrip- tu re. Mrs. Baird read a poem, and Mrs. Isabel Scott read about a new garden in Israel which is being planted with plants mentioned in the Bible. Mrs. Marjorie Caldwell conducted some interesting games and contests and the meeting closed with prayer. Everyone then enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch served by Mrs. Baird and her co - hostess, Mrs. CaldwelL Among those attending the funeral of the late Mrs.. Mary Haugh were Mr. and Mrs. Robert McNaughton, Toronto; Mr. and IVirs. Webster McNaughton, New Hamburg; Mr. and Mrs. Jim McNaughton, Seaforth; Miss Tena McNaughton," Huronview; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smillie, ' Hensall; her daughter, Ann Van Elslander, Moline, Illinois; her nephews Roger Haugh and David McIntosh, Toronto; her nieces, Jean Lee, Toronto; Carolyn Pederson, Margaret Smillie, London, Nancy Hebb, Niagara Falls, Miss Irene Snider, London and relatives and friends from Clinton, Dashwood, Stratford and district also attended. Rathwell reunion The 23rd reunion of the Rathwell families was held July 19th at Seaforth Lion's Park with 63 present. President Judy Lind welcomed everyone, and the day started with noon dinner followed with sports and games for all, presented by Marilyn and Fred Bruin sma, and Lynda and Rick Talbot. The winners were: - eldest person present, Cela Sloman; - youngest person present, Darcy Rathwell; - caane the farthest, Lois Pinkney of Thunder Bay; - teenager with birthday closest to July 19th, Mary Rathwell of Lindsay; - married the longest, Orm and Irene Moffat, 52 years; - tallest boy under 12, Lee Norman; - tallest girl under 12, Kathy Rathwell; - Boy with largest shoe, Paul Helm; - girl with most rings, Robyn Norman; - girl with best tan, Tina B ruinsma ; - girl with prettiest hair, Sara Stewart; - boy with curliest hair, David Rathwell; - man with most change in pocket, Orm Moffat; - lady with most buttons on dress, Debra Rathwell. Meet your relation contest was enjoyed by all with winner Jean Rathwell. The children had a candy scramble, and races were as follows: 5 and under, Adrian Helm, Christina Stewart; 6 to 8 yr., Ben Rathwell, Jody Horton, Edward Stewart; 9 to 11 yr., Kathy Rathwell, Robyn Norman, Lee Nor- man; open race, Kathy Rathwell, Kent Rathwell, Toby Fellows; 3 legged race, Ken and Ben Rathwell, Paul Helm and Kevin Lind, K rista Rathwell and Robyn Nor- man; wheel barrow race, Kevin Lind and Paul Helm, Kent and Ben Bothwell, Krista Rathwell and Robyn Norman. Everyone enjoyed the sports, and the social get together with all relations from far and near. Next year's committee will be: president Steve Rathwell; vice, Marlene Nicholl; registrar, Roberta Plum - steel; treasurer, Barbara Helm; secretary, 'Madeline Bothwell; sports, Don and Debra Rathwell, and Bill and Sandra Rathwell. Hope to see all in 1982, on the third Sunday in July at Seaforth Lions Park. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Fred McGregor of Woodstock and daughter, Karen of Clinton spent the we end with Mrs. Gregor McGregor. Mr. Ron Ellis and son Barry spent the weekend with his, mother, Mrs. L. • Ellis. Mr. and Mrs. 4, Douglas Campbell have returned from visiting with their son Hume at Inglehart, Nor- thern, Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Broadfoot have returned from holidaying on The Trent Canal. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hunt and son Allan of London visited on Monday with Mr. and Mrs. S. Broadfoot.
