She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction and the French Ambassador's Prize for French at M.S.V.U. hi 1980. Debbie has accepted a position as a teacher of French at Herring Cove Jr. High School, Halifax County. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Kyle, Amherst, N.S. and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Kyle, Kippen and of Mrs. Alice M. Thiel, Zurich. Mrs. Vivan Cooper is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gary Cooper and family in Detriot. Gary met with ar. accident while working and, is hospitalized. Mrs. Steve Pine and children are holidaying with Mrs. Grace McBride. Steve Pine attended the funeral of Stewart Baird last week. Mrs. Johanna Kaake, Wroxeter, visited relatives in thearea. Brucefield this week Miss Wendy Mustard has gone to Peace River where she has accepted a job in the hospital. Mrs. Lorna Tully of Peter- borough is visiting her sister Mrs. Gregor McGregor. Miss Betty Boyce of Toronto spent the weekend with Miss M. Swan and Mrs. A. Ham. Mr. Jack Gilmour of Toronto and Mr. and Mrs. S. Williams of I,illinston, England spent a couple of days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Seldon Ross. Mr. Lorne Thrower of Hensall conducted the Sunday morning service at the United Church while Rev. R. McMullen and Mrs. McMullen were in Orillia where he preached at St. Pauls Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Burdge of Owen Sound spent the weekend with their son, Mr. Rick Burdge and Mrs. Burdge and family. Mrs. Oscar Olness of Grand Falls, Minnesota and Mrs. Howard Hall Erin visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Wightman last week. Sunday visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brigham and Jennifer of Blyth, and Mr. and Mrs. John Gears of Waterloo.
