British Columbia will be in Clinton as part of a 16 -week tour of southern Ontario. She explained that the caravan is touring this area in five wagons which are pulled: by teams of Clydesdale horses plus eight other riders who are responsible for the safety of the wagons and their riders. The caravan which is sponsored by the NDWT theatre group of Toronto has been received very well wherever they have played and are the recipients of one of the largest grants ever for touring theatre groups from the Canada Council plus a grant 'from the Ontario Ministry of Tourism. The group will be presenting 'Horseplay', a play specially written for the group's first excursion.to eastern Canada. The play - explores the relationship between horses and humans and according to a release from the com- pany is a 'stinging social farce that draws heavily on the mask and music per- formance style that the Caravan is evolving. Who decides when new values replace the old?'. The group has entertained between 250, and 300 people per night during their tour, she sa id. Semple's afterwards. Anyone who is interested can get more information from John Scott. The barbecue is coming up soon so.mark your calendar and get your tickets. The tickets are available at the bar, or from any one of the committee members at a cost of $8 per person. That in- cludes a steak with all the trimmings and a dance afterwards. Music will be supplied by Chicory, so it should be a good evening. This B.B.Q. has always been a big success and a fun time, an e<5; AN OPEN 7 NIGHTS A Box Office OPENS $:SO P.M.
