Rurninagesale
raises over $3,000
By Don Cook
Last Friday evening, July
10, the 34th Annual Bayfield
Pioneer Park Association
Rummage Sale was held at
the Bayfield arena. A large
crowd of bargain hunters
stormed the arena when the
doors opened at 8 p.m. and
were rewarded with
treasures galore, as well as
the chance to renew old
friendships.
Based on preliminary
figures, the profit from this
years sale should, exceed the
$3,000 mark. This money will
be used for the upkeep and
preservation of Pioneer
Park.
The Pioneer Park
Association wishes to ex-
press
xpress its gratitude to all the
people who generously
donated articles for the sale.
As well, special thanks goes
out • to all the volunteer
workers, too numerous to
list, without whom such a
successful event would prove
impossible. People are urged
to begin saving their rum-
mage for next years sale.
Readers should also be
reminded that movies are
being shown again this year,
in Pioneer Park, after an
absence of many years. The
first of these movies,
"Flying Deuces" and
"Monkey Business", both
starring Laurel and Hardy,
will be shown on Saturday
evening, July 18th, beginning
at sunset.

on strike here, and I doubt' if
you'll ever see a style here.
It's a pretty loyal bunch of
workers."
Although the delivery of
incoming and outgoing mail
from beyond the Seaforth
postal area has been
disrupted, delivery will be a
usual for Seaforth and rural
routes.
