Exhibitors and winners in the various classes included, in the one Hybrid Tea rose bloom, white or near white clad: first, Mrs. P. Liver- more; second, Kay Camp- bell; third, Jean Barnett_ Mrs. Livermore took first place in Me one bloom Hybrid Tea yellow class, Viola Nelson was second and may Campbell took third lace. bloom Hybrid Tea, pale 'pinkwent to Viola Nelson, with Kay Campbell second and Alida Westerhout in third place. In the deep pink class, Jean Barnett had first place, Piercy Livermore was second and Mrs. Livermore came third. Info released EXETER - The Exeter Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has finally complied with a request from Exeter council to hand over ,their salary and budget figures. At a meeting last week, the • town's finance committee sent a letter to the PUC requesting compliance with an earlier council resolution Seeking the Information. They asked that the salary and budget figures be for- warded by June 15. The information has now been received, and will be reviewed by the committee. In the Hybrid Tea red class first place went to Joanne Walker. Mrs. J.H. Counter had second and Kay Cam- pbell, third. In the bi-coloror blend division Mrs. Liver- more had the prize winner, Jean Barnett was second and Viola Nelson took third place. For a hybrid bloom in any other color, Bess Fingland had the best rose, with Viola Nelson and Jean Barnett following. Marg Counter had the best yellow Peace Rose, with Mrs. Fingland in second place and Viola Nelson in third. In the open Peace Rose class Marion McCann had the best bloom, Mary Epps came second and Jean Barnett had third. For any variety, full blown Peace Rase Kay Campbell was the top exhibitor. Bess Fingland had second, 'Place _ and Marion McCann finished third For three stems of Grandiflora John Andrews had the best display, Viola Nelson was second and Kay Campbell third. Mrs. J.W. Counter had the best three blooms in a Hybrid Tea rose, Bess Fingland was second and Jean Barnett finished in third place. Marion McCann had the best three stems of miniature roses and Kay Campbell had the best three stems of Floribundas, with Bess Fingland and Jean Barnett following. Marg Counter placed second for, her three stems of climbers and Kay Campbell showed the seven best roses, Tractor & Truck Pull s Sunday, . Marion Powell had they best arrangement of dim- bers or ramblers. Kay Campbell's dining room arrangement of roses won first prize. Jean Barnett took second spot and Marg Counter finished third. Marg Counter's arrangement of roses suitable for a mantle came first, with Jean Bar- nett second and Kay Cam- pbell in third place. A rose corsage displayed by Kay Campbell took first place and Marg Counter's took second while Viola Nelson came in third Mrs. Van Damme showed the best five stems of Sweet William, with Mrs. Westerhout in second place and Evelyn Olde coming in third. Marg Counter had the nicest spite of Delphinium and Roberta Plumsteel had second place. For three stems of any woody flowering shrub, Marg Counter was first, Marion McCann came second and Mrs. Westerhout finished in third place. Mrs. Westerhout went on to display the best seven blooms of pansies with Bess Fingland and Myrtle Read following. Jean Barnett showed the winning artistic arrangement of pansies with Bess Fingland and Marion Powell also finished in the winner's circle. For her arrangement of mixed garden flowers Mrs. Fred Sloman won first place and Kay Carr>flbell and Viola Nelson also received cash prizes. For a hospital bed- side arrangement, in a disposable container Marion Powell took first place, with Percy Livermore second and Jean Livermore, Marg Counter and Myrtle Read all finishing in thud place.
