Batkin, Tod Caldwell. On May 19 Kippen Gun Club had 14 shooters. Bill Stewart shot 97 out of 100 hitting 50 straight. Other scores were: 24, Bob Iron - side, John Hessels, John Anderson, Jack Mills, Tom Allen; 23, Jim Butcher, Al Kyle; 22, Dan Crerar, Bert Mahaffy; 21, Mer,Batkina Roy Cote; 20, Lloyd Venner; 17, Gladys McGregor. WI meets The Kippen East W.I. met at the home of Mrs. Em. Bell on May 20. Roll call was answered by giving the name of a leader of another country. Mrs. Drummond, president, gave two readings. Mrs. Harold Parsons conducted the meeting which she opened with a reading, "I'm a Farmer's Wife". Mrs. Hugh Parsons gave the motto, "You may be on the right track, but if you just sit there you might get run over." Mrs. Wm. McDowell gave a poem. The guest speaker, Carol Erb, who spent the past nine years in Afghanistan, was introduced by Mrs. Harold Parsons and thanked by Mrs. Grant MacLean. Mrs. Ross Broadfoot ac- companied a sing song. Club leaders, Mrs. Stuart Wilson, Mrs. ALx Townsend, Mrs. Gary Finlayson and Mrs. Laird Finlayson were presented with gifts and Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Townsend described the course and showed samples of the work done during the recently completed club,__,./ Cathy Finlayson, Provincial Honour winner was given a gift. ' Mrs. Dave T5riebner, Mrs. Drummond . and . .Mrs. Stewart Pepper were ap-, pointed delegates to the district annual May 21 in Seaforth. It was decided to send a child to camp with the money donated by the senior citizens. Collection was taken by Mrs. Wm. Bell. Lunch was served by the hostesses Mrs. Bell and Mrs. Campbell Eyre and the committee in charge. Mrs. Norman Dickert has moved to her new home in Exeter. Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Cooper and Mrs. W.L. Mellis were in St. Thomas last week visiting Mrs. Margaret Hutchison, who is in hospital. Mrs. Ken McLean un- derwent surgery in St. Joseph's Hospital, London last week. Morley Cooper is a patient in University Hospital, London. Mrs. Duncan Cooper has returned home from St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Margaret Hutchison and her daughter Mrs. Bruce Arthur„St. Thomas, visited a recent weekend with Mrs. W.L. Meths. Mrs. Jack Mustard is a patient at Clinton Public Hospital having undergone surgery.
