'The 1901 softball season is
Off . to a good start in
Gaderich Township with the
Sod being laid on the new
diamond. Registration is
taking place the next two
Saturdays at the Goderich
Township Community
Centre from 9 a.m. to noon.
The fee this year will be $5
per chlld for softball and $2
per child for T ball
.The age groups for both
boys and girls teems have
been set up this year as
follows: juniors -17-18 years
old; mldgete15-16 years old;
bantam -13-14 years old; and
pee wee -11-12 years old
There has been a shortage
of players in the older boys°
group and in all the girls'
groups in the past year.
More registrations are
needed in their age groups.
In the 10 and under mixed
group, the youngest ones
play T -ball but must turn six
years old before December
31, 1:,1 to be eligible for
registration.

and first Board Chairman of
the Town and Country
Homemakers, has stepped
down as chief officer.
New officers were elected
at the first meeting of the
new Board of Directors held
at Wingham, April 22. Miss
Bev Brown of Bluevale is the
new Chairman of the Board.
Mrs. Gwyn Whilsmith of St.
Joseph's and the Reverend
Terry Trites of Bluevale are
vice-chairmen, and Mrs.
Lois Hodgert is secretary.
