School report
Congratulations are ex-
tended
atended to a number of
teachers at the Holmesville
Public School whose familes
have increased over the last
month. Mr. and Mrs.
Chisoltn had a daughter,
Tanis Elizabeth, on March
8; Mr. and Mrs. Blackwell's
first child Lorraine
Genevieve came into the
world on March 12; Robert
John, a son forMr. and Mrs.
Spittal was born in
February. The new parents
would like to thank Mrs.
Bruinsma who made a
special cake for each of the
newcomers.
The tlohnesville boy:' -s
basketball team now reign
as champions after com-
pleting an undefeated season
against other elementary
schools. As well, they won
the Goderich Area Tour-
, nament.
The girl's team have also
completed their season,
displaying good effort and
sportsma nship throughout.
Al -Sygrove offers his
thanks to all the parents for
providing transportation
from all scheduled games
and practices..
On March 17, the grade 2
and 4 classes visited the
Children's Museum in
London. Here they saw two
exhibits, Inuits and Man and
Machines and after the tour
they were treated to lunch at
MacDonald's, who not only
gave them a free lunch, but
also a tour of how a /lig Mac
is made.
On March 18"; Mrs.
Colclaugh and Mrs. Bre eton
took the Grade 1 pupils to
Ethel to visit the Maple
Keys. They were able to see
how sap is taken from the
maple trees and turned into
maple syrup. They also
