Rev. Scott told the children about the curling competition in London and the basketball game. He also spoke about the trimphant entry into Jerusalem. On April 5th at 7 p.m. a joint meeting of lHolmesville and Wesley -Willis young people will be held in the Wesley Willis Church. On April 7 at 7 p.m. Family night will take place in the Holmesville Church. Get well wishes go to John Wyatt who is a patient in the Goderich Hospital. Little -Sean Lockwood spent the past week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Perdue, while mom and dad enjoyed the sunny south. The Enterprising Seniors enjoyed five lanes of shuf- fleboard huffleboard last Thursday. From now until the end of �April each Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. the Community Centre will be open for an hour of shuf- fleboard. On Tuesday the seniors quilt committee will be busy putting up and working a quilt. The Enterprising Seniors will meet on April 2 at the new time of 8 p.m. The recreation committee will be supplying entertainment and lunch. The Goderich Township W.I. held a very successful card party on March 26 with nine tables playing. The win- ners were: men's high, Jim Hutchings; ladies high, Jean McEwen;._ladies'. _low, Betty Thompson; lone hands, Pearl Cummings. The next card party of the W.I. willbe held on April 9. , The Community Centre in Holmesville is a busy place these days with the 4-11 girls and Women's Institute meetings, the senior citizens holding their meetings. Wednesday evening the Town and Country Homemakers had their an- nual meeting in the centre and prior to the meeting they enjoyed a smorgasbord sup- per served by Mrs. Miller and her group. This was the largest turnout for their an- nual meeting with 154 people for the dinner and many others attending for the meeting. The Spring Fling will be held on April 11 at the Com- munity ommunity Centre with music by Jim Medd. Advance tickets are on sale now. Brucefield IOOF hold card party The IOOF members held a euchre party on Friday night at the hall The winners were: ladies° high, Evelyn McBeath; low, Mary Broadfoot; lone hands, Reva Wilson; men's high, Walter Pepper low, Warden Haney; Ione hands, W. D. Wilson; lucky draw prizes by Marjorie Caldwell and Mar- jorie Broadfoot. The next euchre will be in two weeks on April 10th. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Peter- son and family of Sarnia and Mrs. George Wescott and Judy and Mrs. Bob Kane and Amy of Michigan spent the 4, weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Henderson. At the manse, Rev. and Mrs. McMullen and family had as their guests last week his sister, Margaret McMullen of Hamilton and Linda Lemon of Peter- borough. Mrs. Pearl Eyre and Mrs. Edna Paterson have return- ed from a winter vacation in Arcadia, Florida. Don't forget the daffodil tea for cancer on Friday afternoon in the Anglican Church Hall in Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Brock were visiting in Owen Sound with Mr. Mac Cornish and attended the funeral a week ago of the late Mrs. Mac Cor- nish. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Scott of Toronto spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Scott. Mr. J. K. Cornish of the Bluewater Nursing Home, Zurich spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Brock.
