Hullett
happenings
On March 2at0, Hulletting �Central
students went skating at the
Blyth Arena. They left at
12:15 after enjoying a
delicious lunch of hot dogs
and. chocolate milk. They
skated for one•and-e-half-
hours and then left for home
on their regular buses at 2:15
pm so they would arrive
home an hour earlier.

of Hullett's. Grade 8 students
formed four curling teams to
compete against four teams
from Brucefield. It was a
tough competition and
Hulled lost all four games
but tried their very best. A

Fire struck the area twice
within a week's time with the
Foresters Hall being gutted
by fire on Tuesday, followed
on Sunday by the loss of
George and Kathy McClure's
big barn.
I would like to say "Thank

Thursday with such a short
time to get prepared.

A number of relatives and

Council deals with condos and minks
A delegation from Jewett's
Grove was present at the
regular meeting of Goderich
Township Council on March
16 to protest the development
of a condominium adjacent
to their. property. Mrs. Soper
and Mrs. Poth, two of the
delegation members, ex-
pressed
xpressed the fear of excess
water damage. No motions
were recorded regarding
this.
Dwight Williams was
present at the meeting to
enquire if any measures
could be taken to alleviate
the smell from a mink farm.
Councillor Sturdy reported
on an investigation which he
had made of this situation.
No motions were recorded.
Mr. McLaughlin and Mr.
Stratychuk were present at
the meeting to enquire into
the possibility of buying
water from the township well
on Plan 29. No motions were
recorded.

severance application was
not approved and to now
approve the request, subject
to a pre -design plan of

proposed development of a
condominium on lot 1, Base
Line and the measures by
which they intend to control
water, sewage and excess
run off water. Council passed
a motioh to approve the
request of Blue Anchor
Investments Ltd. for a plan
amendment to permit the
development of a con-
dominium on lot 1, Base
Line, subject to the approval
of a duly appointed township
engineer.

was authorized to represent
the township at the Graham

the township to repair the 30
foot access road to the beach

Ashfield and Goderich
Township.

requested by Charles
Mathers for a parcel of land
on lot 10, concession 1.
Council decided to deal with

The Huron County
Federation of Agriculture
requested an increase in the
grant which the township has

accept the tender of Pollard
Brothers for the supply of
calcium for the roads in 1981

The Goderich Township
Women's Institute turned

landscaping around the.hall.
This money was made up of
$213.25 from the dessert card
party and $525 from the
variety concert.
A building • permit
requested by Terry McGuire
for a house on plan 25 has
been referred to the building
inspector for investigation.
Approval was given to a
request from the Goderich
Legion Ladies' Auxiliary to
hold a tag day at Zehrs.
The clerk was instructed to
contact Muer Constrution
and have the error on the
printing of the memorial
plaque corrected.
