Mrs. Ross Broadfoot read
a beautiful poem on
'Friends' and Mrs. Al
Hoggarth presented a
thought-provoking motto on
"It isn't what you start but
what you finish that counts".
Mrs. Alderdice contributed a
poem on a good neighbour
and Mary Broadfoot ac-
companied the sing song.

by Mrs. M. Connolly were
presented by Margaret
Hoggarth, who also gave the
courtesy remarks. Everyone
enjoyed an organ interlude
by Mrs. R. Kinsman.

The third meeting of the
•Kippen QI, 441 club was held
at the home of Mrs. Joyce
Wilson February 16.
Estella Wilson volunteered
to do the minutes for this
meeting.
After voting on the club
name they decided the name
would be the "sewing
Scamps".
Mrs. Wilson talked about
the following: staystitching,
sewing darts, gathering,
sewing four different types
of seams. Estella Wilson and
Julie Townsend explained •
how to press fabrics
properly•
After this all did a true and
false quiz to see what each
remembered, and then each
started on seam and dart
samples.
