After repeating the 4-H pledge, we welcomed our new leader, Mrs. Joanne Walker, and four new members. Our new officers are: president Andrea Smith, vice-president, Connie Evans; secretary, Johanna Van Diepen. We decided to call the club the "Clinton Clippers". We talked about equipping a sewing box and the dif- ferent techniques we would be learning. The girls paired off and took each others measurements to determine their pattern sizes. We discussed colour and the pro- per styles for different figure types. The girls learned about the different kinds of interfac- ings and materials which can be usedin this project. They are to have their pat- tern, fabric and notions before meeting 2. The next meeting will be at Mrs. Walker's home on February 11 at 7 p.m- by Lori Saundercock. Smile In a supermarket parking lot, a woman aimed her car at a large space next to a car in which another woman was waiting for her husband. After three attempts to park the car, she rolled down her window and asked the other woman if she could move her car. "No," the other said, "I can't drive either."
