"Since thein the week has grown, involving Chill's 44 offices coast to coast and some recreation dubs of the blind themselves. As the week gained strength, the aims were broadened to draw blind and sighted Canadians closer together to reflect the status of blind persons in Canada, their pro- blems and achievements and to encourage people to pre- vent blindnes," Rempel said. Each year a slogan is devised to emphasize the aims of the week. This year's slogan is "Blindness Is Everyone's Concern". Nowadays we are all very health conscious. - But who thinks of blindness along those lines? How many peo- ple' know that this, year possibly 3,200 Canadians may lose their sight.
