It was decided to make the usual annual contribution to the Agricultural Society, who in making the request, emphasized the need for sup- port for the 1981 Fair because otherwise it might not be possible to continue the project in 1982. Of particular interest to Bayfield residents was a let- ter trash Mr. O'Connor of Zurich, advising the council that he had now taken over the ambulance service. Anyone requiring to avail themselves of the facility should make a note of the new number 236-4364. Following up on a decision made at the last meeting to support a protest in connec- tion with the government's apparent indiscriminate selection of a dump site, Harry Parrott of the Ministry of the Environment' had since written claiming that a proper and profes- sional study had been car- ried out beforehand, although this did not justify the criticism that there had been insufficient consulta- tion.
