Bowling news
Now that Sprang has pass-
ed and summer is officially
here the Bowling Tour-
naments are in full swing.
There have been good tur-
nouts to the local jitneys.
The winners on June 21
were W. Newcombe for the
men's, Audrey Walsh and
Edith Wright were tied for
the ladies.
June 23 - Don Haines and
Audrey Walsh were the win-
ners.
On June 25 at the Seaforth
Tournament, Bert and Jean
Gray were winners.
On June 26 at Clinton, the
first stage of the PLBA
Men's Doubles were held.
The winners were F. Tilley
and Art Finlayson of Seafor-
th. They now advance to the
second stage which is held in
London, July 23.
Fish and
Game club
news
There has been a lot of ac-
tivity at the Fish and Game
Farm last month.
The new fence has been
erected and is now being
stained. This and other im-
provements to the farm
should all be completed
before the next shoot,
scheduled for August 14.
We have a dance coining
up on August 13. The band
will he "FREE WHEEL-
ING".
For the summer months
the general meetings have
been cancelled and the ex-
ecutive meetings have been
moved from the third Mon-
day to the third Tuesday of
July and August. We now
have nearly 200 paying
members for 1983 and there
are more joining every mon-
th.
Scott Doherty, son of Mr. and
Mrs. M. Doherty of Clinton
graduated from the
University of Toronto on
June 8 with an Honors
Bachelor of Science and
Biology. Scott attended
CHSS Ind will continue his
education at the Faculty of
Education at the Univerity of
Windsor.
