Anthems were sung by the Junior choir with organist Lisa Duizer, pianist Barb Bosman and choir leader Irene Bromley. Chlldrens time was ted by Laura Scott and the three Scott children each had their pet rabbit to show the children. Laura explained how rabbits multiply. Junior teachers were Sheila Thompson and Margaret Wright. Bert Lyon introduced Mr. Robertson from Fergus a volunteer worker for Bible Society. Following service the congregation was invited to have coffee and meet Mr. Robertson downstairs where books were on display. The W.I. Family Relations meeting was held May 11 by entertaining 4-H members and their mothers. Roil can was answered by members naming something they missed by not being a 4-H member. Thank you notes were read from Marjorie Duizer for retiring gift, Mary Buffinga for sponsoring 4-1 and Get Well note from Vi Burns. Open House will be held at Earland Lee's home from May 31 to June 2. The W.I. will have Huron - view Birthday party on May 18. It was agreed to donate $30 for pennies for friend- ship, moved to present gifts to Grade 8 girl and boy, Home Economics and In- dustrial Arts. Four voting members Margaret Taylor, Alice Buchanan, Beth Knox and June Fothergill will attend the district Annual on May 30 in Wingharn. Beth Knox reported on the officers Conference at Waterloo. There were 5 . at- ten'ng. 4-11 Club III members had a display of serving utensils for Chinese. Commentators were John Lawson and laurel Duizer. Club II members Karen Wright and Julie Hummel spoke ..on' growing „ ,nitre Gardens in Japan. They were thanked by Ad" ie Flunking and Dora Shob- brook presented gifts to leader Mary Buffinga, Amy Gerritt, Rena Kolkman, Marjorie Duizer and Helen Kolkman. A gift was presented to Helen Kolkman by Marjorie Duizer for com- pleting 12 4-11 projects. Ad si 'e Hunking introduced Jim Jamieson who showed slides on food that they eat every day in China. He was thanked by Dora Shobbrook and presented with a gift. Neigh rly news The Ainewell Unit would like to thank all who helped in any way with the Ham and Turkey supper. An undertak- ing of that size could not have been successful without the help you so willingly gave. Mrs. Bill Sottiaux spent Thursday to Sunday at Hamstead near Montreal at- tending the funeral of her friend Mrs. ruce Aubin. Visiting Tuesday and Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Burns were daughter Betty, Mrs. Jerry Smith Kincardine. Remember the Annual Fireworks display, May 23 at dusk at Hullett Centra: school. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Newby visited on Wednes- day with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Bowman at Granton. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hunking and her mother Mrs. Airie Duizer returned home on Wednesday after spending two weeks in Holland. Leonard Vodden of Paris visited his sister Mrs. Dora Shobbrook on Thursday. He and his daughter Irene at- tended the Ham and 'Turkey supper at the church. High Chaplain McDonald ad- ded his congratulations and addressed the Foresters with words of praise for job well done. Mr. Ginn brought greetings from District Council. Several Courts were represented at the ceremony, Sales Represen- tative Jack Potter of Wiar- ton and John Connelly of Court Atwood spoke a few words. High Marshall Jim Jamieson led the procession out of the hall. A reception followed with over 60 guests, cakes were decorated by Sister Joyce Rihey of Seaforth.
