The Farm Show, a theatrical production about Clinton and area people was a sellout for its two night stand at Corey's Sales Barn in Clinton. Over 100 people were turned away from the Theatre Passe Muraille production because there just wasn't any more room in the improvised theatre. Corey's Sales Barn also made headlines because, after 25 years in the auction business Joe and Marie Corey will be leaving the Sales Barn and retiring to their 65 acre farm. The business on the Hayfield Road in Clinton has been sold to Lorne Tyndall of Clinton. Everything from white mice to dump trucks has been auctioned off at Corey's. 25 years ag® May 8,1958 A house, believed to be in the neigh'..rhood of 140 years old, and for that length of time has been a landmark to all who passed through Brucefield, is bowing to the march of progress. The main front part is to '• kept intact and moved to a lot opposite the residence of Murray Tyndall in the village, where Mr. Clifton expects to modernize it. For 32 years the house was thq residence of Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Some think the grocers ought to be open longer than 7 o'clock. A spring evil, and one that has struck Porter's Hill every spring for years, is young ladies with nothing to do, visiting those who have plenty and more than they ought to do. These spring visitors should consider the trouble it puts people to, especially at house cleaning time and when things in general are straightened up after a long winter. We respectfully and unitedly request those parties to give us a few weeks to ourselves and then pile on the agony as often as they like NUMB 1j DE LAUND DETERGE CLINTON NESWS-RECORD, WEDNFs FA v IM t V H a e010.4 A" E: 5 6 L.
