Excitement was evident as
delegates were briefed on
the World Conference to be
held in Vancouver in June.
Canada is proud to host this
special event when over 1700
delegates from around the
world will represent the 9L'
mullion members. Excellent
speakers and programs will
carry out the theme "Living
un Today's World" At this
time, the world president
will be elected with Dr Ellen
McLean of Nova Scotia being
nominated along with two
from the United States.
The National Convention
in Jane 1985 will be at the
University of Western
Ontario, London and already
plans are underway for the
members of Ontario to host
it.

The Wesley Willis After-
noon Unit U('W afternoon
meeting was held April 21
with Daisy Holland in charge
of the business and worship
service. She was assisted by
Florence Oliver and Rosie
Armstrong.
Edna Baker entertained
with two solos.
The special guest speaker
was Jane Davidson from
Brucefield. She' spoke on her
visit to Ecuador. She told of
how her daughter 17 years
old went there to live for a
year on a student exchange
program to study Spanish
and live with an Ecuadorian
family. She told of the
climate, the food, the hornes,
and customs of the people. It
was an interesting talk and
the ladies did appreciate it
very much.
April 27 will be Shut-ins
Day when the ladies will
visit the shut-ins and April 29
will be Literary Club Day
with guest speaker Ruth
Workman.
May 4 will be a special
overall meeting for all the
ladies of the congregation.

recreation centre board of
management managed to
chop over $11,000 off their
proposed budget last week,
but the fate of two programs
affected by the reduction
won't be known for some

The board had originally
submitted a budget calling
for Exeter to provide $82,870
in operating funds and
another $14,200 in capital.
Those compared to last
ear's actual costs to the
town of $69,650 and $8,350
respectively.
