She installed the of- ficers and gave talk on life and work of Adelaide Hoodless, founder of WI, from her childhood to the time of her death. Guests atten- ding saw an educational slide presentation dealing with this disease which has an adverse affect un produc- tion. (.)ver the last few years much new research has revealed that the presence of internal parasites in the dairy herd can actually lower milk production and slow growth ui heifers. By strategic deworriung, these production losses can be mmuiuzed. The presentation dealt with Exhelm E i- , a product which has been proven effec- tive in removing 98 percent of gastrointestinal nematodes which cause these production losses. Data shown indicated the product is well suited for the dairy herd because there is no milk withdrawal time and is highly safe to use. The seminar was spon- sored by rogar-STB Inc., makers of Exhelm E + . 1 banquet tending WI meetings and she presented a gift to retiring secretary -treasurer, Mar- jorie Duizer and to presi- dent, Margaret Taylor. Those attending were Helen Kolkman, Robert. Kolkman, Laurel Duizer, John Lawson, Joan Bergsma and Marge Siertsema and the ladies Rena Kolkman and Marjorie Duizer. Londesboro was one of the 150 clubs in the province for this new project. John Lawson had the honour of winning third place in the regional com- petition.
