This has been donated to the quilt section in addition to the regular prize money. in the CANADA PACKERS CHAMPION QUILT COMPETITION is held in conjunction with the Annual Convention of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies at the Royal York Hotel, Toronto. liULES: Each local fair is entitled to send ONLY the Grand Champion Quilt ( judged best of show of all classes) to the District 8 Annual Meeting Competition. Quilts must be at least double bed size. ONLY FIRST place quilts from District 8 Annual Meeting are eligible to enter the Canada Packers Competition. in case where the first prize winner decides not to send her quilt on to the final competition in Toronto, the second prize quilt will be eligible. In addition. prize money of $25 for first. $15 for second. and $10 for third will be given to the exhibitors of winning quilts at each District Competition. Entries must be quilted by a group or an individual who is a member of a local Agricultural Society. Every quilt must be tagged with its entry number secured to it, before the judging begins. No exhibit shall be removed from the area until the last day of the Annual Convention in Toronto. Packers will purchase the winning quilt at the Annual Convention for $700.00 and dded to the Canada Packers Quilt Collection.
