Fish and gun
club news
You may have noticed that
the geese are back, which is
as much a sign of spring as
the sudden snowstorm.
Spring cleanup has begun at
the Fish and Gaine farm,
and this year, something
new has been added. An
archer trail has been
cleared and it makes an
excellent walk-through trail.
At the clubhouse, a new
executive has been elected,
and the committee leaders
have been designated the
president's position has been
filled by ('am Grigg, with
Don Switzer as his first vice,
and Ron Carter as second
vice. The new secretary is
Thalma McDougall and the
treasurer is Don Jefferson
Come out and offer your
support and congratulations
at the next general meeting
on Monday, April 4 at 8:30.
'There are already over 1uu
paid up members, and
memberships for this year
are due March 31.
The past few weeks have
been busy at the clubhouse.
Not only have there been
elections, but the club also
put on a successful fun bingo
with various prizes awarded.
The Huron Dart League was
here for an enjoyable af-
ternoon of darts, and lunch
served by Thelma
McDougall and Mary Cote.
The regular dart season
has ended with a President's
Dart Tournament, a fun dart
night, and coming on Ap-il
9th a dinner and dance.
iast Saturday evening was
the Past President's
Banquet with an excellent
meal prepared by June
Barrett. It was nice to see all
those who have given of their
time over the years to take a
turn as president of the club.
A (lance is planned for
early May. All members and
guests are welcome to come
out and help support the
club. Come on down to the
clubhouse and try your luck
