Cohn Swan announced the Good Friday April lst, ser- vice at 11 a.m. The anthem was sung by the C.G.I.T. girls, Darlene Hulley, Lori Bromley, Lisa Bosman, Deanna Lyon, Janet Wilts, Kim Wright and Jennifer Sottiaux accom- panied by organist Barb Busman. Rev. Grant Mills of Exeter conducted the Baptism, Con- firmation and Sacrament. Clerk of Session Gordon Shobbrook called forth the Confirmation and each represented by an elder who presented them with a Bible following the laying on of hands. For Communion assisting minister were Col- in Swan and Gordon Shob- brook; serving bread Ron Nesbitt, Margaret Whyte, Margaret Taylor, Edna Reid; serving wine ob Jamieson, Reg Lawson, Laura Scott and Tom Duizer. The new members were welcomed with a reception line in the Sunday school room. Lunch was served by the U.C.W. The class return- ed to the sanctuary where Harvey McDowell took photographs. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Radford of London spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bob Thompson and at- tended the wedding of his cousin Lonnie Karl Whitfield and Marilyn Elaine Macln- tyre on March 26 at the Presbyterian Church in Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Cohn Pater- son and Katie of London visited on Saturday with her father Bob Burns, also with her mother in Clinton Hospital. Mildred Traviss and Phyllis Mitchell entertained with musical numbers accompanied by piano and violin. Harvey and members of his family were called to the piayform and all introduced. Unfortunately Bessie was unable to attend, she had the flu, she was missed by everyone there. Their family of eight boys and one girl were all present except Rae who is teaching at Forestburg, Alberta. Gerald Watson read an address.
