Chairperson Joyce Pepper reports that a total of lam_ :ll was collected un Hensall. The donations received from the community will help enrich the laves of physically disabled adults in so many ways—by providing employment and job train- ing opportunities, camping holidays, wheelchairs, elec- tronic units and other aids, improving transportation services and housing. In short, the March of Dims help disabled people re- discover their potential and their abilities. The March of Dimes cam- paign slogan is "We Can't Help Without Your Help". We certainly can continue to help the thousands of physically disabled adults across the province, thanks to the support received from Hensall. Joyce would like to add a special thank you to all dedicated volunteers who helped canvass the village, and of course, a very special thank you to everyone who gave a donation. UCWcafvss for March of Dirties Unit 2 of Hensall United Church conducted a canvass for the March of Dimes on Monday evening. They thank all who assisted and all who donated to this worthy pro- ject. Mrs. Dianne Gerstenkorn opened the meeting with a Valentine reading and 14 members answered the roll call with a recipe exchange. The project money was col- lected. Mrs. Kaye Mock reminded members of an early meeting on March 7th. Mrs. Gerstenkorn conducted a contest and closed the meeting with prayer. Date set for cage sale At the monthly meeting of the Hensall Centennial Com- mittee April 30 was set for the ummage Sale to be held at the Hensall United Chur- ch. Two draws and a New Year's Eve dance will also be arranged by the commit- tee. During a lively discussion off the proposed agen '.. for the four-day weekend in 19 from June 29 to July 2, several interesting ideas and activities were suggested. Chairman of the Invitation Committee, Mrs. Mary Lou Hyde, requests the names and addresses, including the postal code, of former residents of the village and area. These could be sent to her or left at the P.U.C. Of- fice. The next meeting will be held March 22 at 7 p.m. at the United Church.
