The Scouts thank everyone

brunch. It was a success.
The long awaited
challenge volleys,:._;, match
between the Pathfinders and
Scouts took place last
Thursday with most people
cheering for the Pathfinders.
However, after two hours of
play, the scouts were vic-
torious, beating the
Pathfinders eight games to
zero. Scout Paul Lippincott
read the Parable of the Good
Samaritan.
The Cubs car rally took
place Thursday at the Sun -
coast Mall. Before racing the
grand howl was done. Greg
Crawford placed 3rd. We
thank the drivers and
everyone who helped with
the rally and supported us.
Beavers "A" held a
balloon race and had a birth-
day party in honor of Lord
Baden-Powell.
On Tuesday Pathfinders
dressed up regarding a coun-
try and held an international
buffet. Thursday was the
volleyball game with Scouts.

Although the girls lost, their
spirits remained high
throughout the games.

Jackie Norman, Mrs. Cathy
Semple, thanks also for the
use of the Clinton Public
School gym.
At Guides everyone arriv-
ed in costumes from a coun-
try, and enjoyed tasting food
from that country.
The Brownies afternoon
group presented their pro-
ject on a country they had
done together as a six group.
They celebrated Lord and
Lady Baden-Powell's birth-
day.
The Brownies evening
group had the following girls
enrolment by our Commis-
sioner. Phyllis Edwards:

In the chairman's annual
message, Mr. Gower review-
ed the programs conducted
by the authority in 1982 and
called for the continued
"grassroots" input from the
members.
"I would again like to em-
phasize that you, as Authori-
ty members, represent the
primary contact between
this organization and the
member municipalities. We
very much need the
"grassroots" input from
each and every one of you if
our Authority programs and
projects are to keep pace
with the needs of the local
comm.inity," said Mr.

Worship Service was held
in Holmesville United on
Sunday. Rev. Bechtel talked
to the children about the
scout movement and the
Brownies present gave the
Brownie promise.
A Vanishing party was
held last Friday at the home
of Charlotte Norman with
four tables in play. Scorers
were: Ladies High, Iona
Blake; Low, Kaye Harris;
Lone Hands, Elaine Blair.
Proceeds will go to the
Ladies Auxiliary of the
Clinton Hospital.
The Enterprising Seniors
will meet March 3 at the
Community Centre in
Holmesville.
