Scouts -Went tobogganing
at Brown's Hill and over the
past weekend, the senior
Scouts went camping at
Ailsa Craig. It was the first
Huron District wianter camp.
They won the football game
and lost to pond soccer.
The Scouts and Venturers
enjoyed the 1st Huron
District winter camp. Don't
forget next week the parent
and son Ir;..:nquet at Wesley -
Willis Church. Also our
volleyball game on
February 24. It's hoped the
girls are ready for this
game. Starting time is 7 p.m.
at Clinton Public School.
The following Cue: receiv-
ed badges: Jeremy Lane,
cyclist, Jason Fleet -
Handyman, Skaters. Two
boys received their red star -
Jeremy Lane and Sheehan
Carter. Raksha and her
group visited Cooke's
Florists. Akela, Bagheera,
Shere Khan worked with the
boys on the reef knot then
had a reef knot relay game.
Remember Cubs to bring
your cars this week. The big
race is February 19.
Beavers "A" - The
Beavers "A" played game
called Ship to Shore and
made Valentine animal
crafts. Also played Pin the
tail on Heart Mouse and Pin
the fin on Heart Fish and had
a bubble gum relay race.
weavers "B" -Went tobog-
ganing at Brown's hill on
Saturday. They went over
tobogganing safety for
Saturday and then made
Valentine crafts.

The Brownies, Guides,
Pathfinders are selling
cookies. They will be out the
next weeks getting orders.
You pay for your cookies
after they arrive in end of
April or first of May. No
money to be given now. They
will be wearing uniforms.
This money helps to finance
packs and companies, helps
finance trips, and special
events.
Pathfinders -Some girls
presented challenges. They
discussed the upcoming trip
to Ice Capades and finished
evening practicing for the
volley]. 41 game.
Guides -had a Valentine
party and fathers were in-
vited. The evening started
with a skit about the history
of Guiding. Mrs. Sylvia
Brady presented a film on
Mexico. Girls presented
Valentine crafts to fathers.
Brownies -Two ;::rownies
presented articles from
Mexico in which :rents
visited. They are finishing
the !:.rownies Around the
World project. Played a new
game called hat race.
Brownies evening -They
made Valentine crafts and
Tweenies worked on re-
quirements to Itecome a
!:.rownie and Tawny Owl and
rest of girls worked on
weather reports and Kayley
Mills did her Brownies
Around the World ,.project.
The country she chose was
Switzerland.
Remember to be at Mur-
phy's Bus Line at 8:45 a.m.
The bus is leaving at 9 a.m.,
arriving back at 5 p.m.

news
First meeting of Kippen 1
4-H Club was held Feb. 8 at
the home of the leader Mrs.
Al Iloggarth. Assistant
leader Mrs. Diane Chalmers
and five of the six members
were present.
Mrs. Chalmers will be tak-
ing the Club, and this will en-
title her to Provincial
Honors at the successful
completion of the Club.
Ontario Heritage is the
name of this Club which
deals with recipes of the dif-
ferent nationalities that
make up Ontario's popula-
tion.
Results of Election of Of-
ficers were: president -Diane
Chalmers; vice president,
Joan Binnendyk; secretary,
Linda Roberts; treasurer,
Linda Binnendyk; press
reporter -Janet Hoggarth.
It was decided to hold the
next meeting on Feb. 16 at
the home oT Diane Chalmers,
it was agreed to have yellow
duo -tangs. Members are to
conic prepared to suggest a
club name and also suggest
designs for the cover pic-
ture.
After studying the book
work, members and leaders
