Mondaysaw a great number of people .c . ve head first iontolates of Jello while others blew bubbles with crackers. Roy Taylor blew the big- gest bubble to come out the winner in the binbblegum blowing contest, Dave Stephenson managed to whistle first through his peanut butter and crackers to :s- the victor in the peanut butter and cracker eating contest and an unknown Grade 9 student slurped up the most Jello the fastest to win the Jello eating contest. The three winners won two tickets each to the Student - Teacher Hockey Game, to be held on Thursday at 1:30 in the arena. Tuesday was "Formal Dress -Up Day". Many students could be seen dress- ed up in 'formal' attire rang- ing from suits and ties to blue leans, sweat shirts. .Participation in Formal Dress -Up Day was up this year from past years. Today (Wednesday) students were dismissed at 2 pin. to take part in various activities during the after- noon. Some of the events planned were a Tug -of -War, Pyramid building and an obstacle course race anTI a pie -in -the -face. On Wednesday' -ening, the CRSS students council presents the Incredible Mike Mandel a hypnotist who amazes people with his skill, and Backwards Bob, famous for talking backwards. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and admission is $3. On Thursday students will be dismissed at 1 p.m. to go to the arena to watch the students massacre the teachers in the annual student -teacher hockey game. Admission is $1.50 with a Winter Carnival But- ton and $2 without. In honor of Valentine's Day, this Friday will be Heart Day at CHGSS. Each student will be given a heart in home room and the object of the ,r{::.,y is to see how many hearts one can accumulate throe hoot the day, not by smiling a5 in past years, but by kissing other people. The winner of Heart y will be announced at the Valentine's Day Dance Fri- day afternoon and will receive an inflatable Coca- Cola air mattress for his or her trouble. XXX The Boys Basketball teams travelled to Seaforth on Tuesday afternoon. Scores from these games were unavailable at press time.
