At Duff's United Church
Bibles and Hymn Books
were dedicated in memory
of the late Mrs. Olive Dun-
das. The sacrament of Bap-
tism was administered to:
J ason Allan James Penn-
ington, son of Earl and Mary
Searle Pennington and
Mark Fraser Sullivan, son of
Gerald and Carolyn
( Fraser' Sullivan.
This Sunday is the commu-
nion service and February 13
is Youth Day.
WI meets
At the January meeting of
the Walton Women's In-
stitute Agriculture and
Canadian Industries con-
venor, Mrs. Viola Kirkby
had as guest speaker Bruce
McCall of Brussels. He hoc'
been nn Brussels for 13 years
when he purchased the
Brussels Sales barn. He said
it was his greatest privilege
to be born and raised on a
farm and be involved in
agriculture. He said the WI
plays a big part in the back
bone of Agriculture.
An invitation was accepted
from the Ethel W.I. to attend
their 80th anniversary
celebration on February. 1.
Euchre Held
There were six tables of
euchre in play on Tuesday
evening at the community
hall. Prize winners were:
high lady, Mrs. Annie Reid;
low, Mrs. J. Simpson; High
man. Ernie Stevens; low,
Lawrence Ryan; Special
Mrs. Leona McDonald.
Hostesses were Margery
Huether, Valerie Shortreed,
Lavin Watson and Viola
Kirkby. In charge for
February 8th are A;,:ry
Humphries, Albei to
Stevens, Margaret Craig and
Judy Weisbrod. Everybody
is welcome.

visitors
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mc-
Clure spent January 23 with
their son Neil McClure in
London. On their return
home on Monday they
visited with a cousin Mrs.
Irene 1 Brown) Allen at Ilder-
tfiln.

ing the Christening of their
grandson Jason at Duff's
