President Marg Wright opened the meeting with a poem. Correspondence was read from Family and Children's Services, Huron Day Centre for the Homebound and Hullett Township Recreation Committee. Card parties were announced for January 14th and 21st in the hall. The raffle prize was won by Sandra Westerhout. An auction sale is being planned for the February meeting. For the program, Verna Gibbings had a guessing con- test won by Marg Wright. Ruth Jenkins gave two readings. Olive Neal's guess- ing contest was won by Alice Buchanan and Gladys Van Egmond played several selections on the organ. The next meeting will be held at the horse of Tyna Nykamp on February 9 with Olive Penfound. Phyllis Tyn- dall and Joanne Salverda on lunch and program. The Garden Pool & Landscape Show Feb. 24-28 With winter fast ap- proaching, our thoughts turn to spring. The Garden Pool and Landscape Show will certainly make us think of Spring come February 24th to 28th. It is Canada's largest in- door garden show, featuring superior landscaping of pool and patios. Nightscaping - the use of lights in the garden, balcony gardens for apartments and con- dominiums. Also featured is the growers famous Dutch Clock Auction, allowing everyone to bid on the sale of plants. The Garden Theatre features experts on garden- ing, pool care and flower ar- ranging.
