Day Centre clients
enjoy festive parties
Many thanks to staff and
volunteers of the Huron Day
Care Centre for the
Christmas dinners, the
children of Clinton Public
School for entertaining and
Santa fur giving out
presents.
Now the New Year is here
the Day Centre is back in
routine with daily activities.
The quilt was finished and
the Centre hopes to sell
tickets on it this spring.
The Centre is working on
new crafts all the time;
some enjoy cards and
crokinole; others go bowl-
ing. Rosemary Armstrong
has started lectures on
diabetes. Sandra Hough of
Vanastra has joined the staff
for a year.
A new venture is starting.
Clients are asked to bring a
picture of themselves from
younger days and everyone
is to match them up when the
birthday month comes
around.
All enjoy when former
clients visit; rug hooking is a
popular craft, as are cover-
ing hangers and making
dusters.
It is hoped that the winter
will not be as bad as last
year when the storms
cancelled days at the Centre
for five Mondays. Everyone
hopes and looks for the com-
ing of spring.
