Service chairwomen, Marie Black reported the Clinton Hospital is still receiving the children's magazine subscription. All members were invited to attend the Bowling party, social on January 29 and anyone planning to go was to get in touch with Pat Bell. Exercise was the culture program topic for this meeting so everyone jogged, walked, or drove to the public school. Sorority sisters from the Xi Epsilon Beta group were invited to join the Zeta Omegas there for a volleyball match. All members were given a chance to warm up and practice serving. Judy Stewart explained the basic idea of the game. It was easy fur sorne but all agreed the net seemed higher than usual. Nancy Anstett was ap- pointed referee, scorekeeper, and cheerleader for one team. Mary Marsh led the cheers for the others. Everyone was nervous as the first game '. • gan and the points jostled from 1-0; then to 1 -aa; to 5,-.14. Game point came and Mary's team won! At the beginning of the second game everyone was sure that not only was the net too high, but the ceiling was too low! This accounted for the numerous net serves the players were making. Mary's team sneak ri past Nancy's and won game two with a score of 12-15. Several more tense games were played with all players giving their best. The calibre of volleyball the sorority worsen played was ex- cellent! The referee di 't make any penalty calls, double fisting or over the line serves. Nancy's team won the final match and took the other team, 5 games to 4. After the games, mem- bers hustled back to Nancy Anstett's home for lunch. The next meeting is January. 25 at Pat Bell's and the culture program will be Fun with Flowers.
