The four-year-old pacer by the Meadow Skipper sire Windshield Wiper - Beach Scene by Race Time, trained by Jim Morrissey of Crediton and driven by Ray McLean in many of his starts, including his 1:55.3 victory in the Canadian Pacing Derby at Greenwood, had 19 wins, five seconds, and one third, good for earnings of $374,075 in 1982 and $422,200 lifetime. Willow Wiper also holds the world pacing record of 1:55.1 for a four-year-old stallion on a half -mile track as well as being the 1982 season's champion with his 1:54.1 record taken on a mile track. At Western Fair Raceway in London on December 29, Jay Bee Scamp, owned by Jean and Ben Feagan of Goderich was third with Crawford McKeen up in a 2:10.2 mile. Wayne Dupee also finished third driving Shadows End Run for owner -trainer Bruce Dupee of Clinton in the seventh. From 24 starts in 1982 the three-year-old pacing colt by Broadcaster B -Fly Fly Kammy by Fly Fly Byrd has had one win, four seconds and seven thirds for earnings of $2,737 in his first year of racing. His personal record is 2:09.4 although he has gone in 2:04.1 in a Windsor race. Noble Amy has been a very consistent performer all year for owner Koop De Groot of Goderich. The five- year-old mare has had six wins, two seconds and three thirds from 14 starts, good for $2430 in 1982 and a new 2:09.2 pacing record. Trained by Gord Kerr and driven by Crawford McKeen, Noble Amy was fifth on Wednesday night. Ames Pride, a five-year- old mare by the Tar Heel sire Ames Hanover - Dainty Debbie by Philbrick Hanover, has had a very successful year with seven wins, three seconds and two thirds from 24 starts, good for earnings of $6,624 and a new p,2:03 record. Lifetime she has picked tip $17,144 for owners Jean and :en Feagan of Goderich. • At Windsor Raceway on December 30, Gorlyn Andy finished third in a 2:02 mile with Jack Warner on the bike for Gorlyn Acres (Gord, Bill and Cindy Rapson) of R. . 3, Clinton. Skippy Dover, a pacer raised by Lorne Tyndall of Clinton, but recently claimed from Wayne Dupee at Windsor was second in a 2:05.2 mile for driver Bill Gale at that track. At London on December 31, Marclif Mike, owned by Margaret Walsh of Brussels, finished third in a 2:06.3 mile with Ross Battin driving. Randy McLean was fourth with Blackbridge Jake in a 2:01 mile in the $5,000 Invitation Pace for owner Glenn Mitchell of Ailsa Craig. Johnny Freight started the New Year off with a third place finish for Ken Parks of Varna and John Lester of Forest at London on January 1. The 1979 gelding by the Bye Bye Byrd sire Keystone Sinartie - Kawartha Freight by Columbia George took a new 2:03.4 pacing record in 1982 with earnings of $4,817 from five wins, one second and three thirds from 27 starts. Arrochar Ruth was fourth in the second with Randy Henry driving for Arnold Doak of Goderich. Miss Kelly Rose was also fourth in a 2:03.3 mile in the ninth for owner -trainer Jim Taylor of Hensall, as was Ray Mathers with H.B. Mathers in the tenth for Charles E. Mathers of R.R. 3, Clinton and the Broken M.
