The deceased bad been a rest - dent of Clinton since 1857 and was a carpenter by trade. Miss Ivy Walker, daughter of Mrs. Walker, of London, who died ou Saturday morning last, went to Lon- don with her mother and sister, from Brussels, eleven years ago. During an illness of a year's duration, four months of which time was spent in Victoria Hospital, her 'physicians ee- deavored to restore to her the good health which was her heritage, but all efforts were futile, Iler remains were interred at- Brussels, on Tuesday. John Baynham, a youna man from Centralia, who was returning from Brandon, Man., was taken sick and upon his arrival at London his condi- tion was such, that a physician was called. The physicians at once pro- nounced it smallpox, and notified the Medical Health Officer, Dr. Hutchin- son. The latter immediately had the man placed in the smallpox hospital, and the car was taken off the service and thoroughly fumigated, and will not be used for some time. For years Mrs. Jno. To her life partner and her daughter Hattie at home, who waited upon her with such loving care and solicitude, to her daughters, Mrs. J. Watson, of Seaforth, and Mrs. (Rev.) The family, save James, and the two sons-iu-law were home for the funeral which took place on Tuesday afternoon of last week.
