Martin Salter and Miss Emily Gould,
daughter of Richard Gould, both of
Exeter were married yesterday at the

affair, none but, the more immediate
friends being present. We join: a
large circle of, friends in extending
congratulations.
William Sanders, a former resident
of Exeter, brother of C. H. Sanders,
died in Chicago last Friday night,
after a somewhat protracted illness.
He was in his 38th year. The remains
were brought to Exeter and interred
in the Union Cemetery. He leaves a
wife and one child, ;here, to survive
him.
The Alvinston Free. Press -has the
following reference to a former 'Exe-
terite : - "Mr. J. R. Jaynes, and
family have left for their future home
in Calgary, N. W. T. For several years
Mr. Jaynes, has been one of Alvin
stop's : enterprising merchants, and
has proved himself to be ` a manof
worth in every circumstance. Mrs.
Jaynes and daughters have identified
themselves with several organizations
in connection with the Methodist
church, ands -their departure will be
much'regretted by that body. Mr.
Jaynes will enter into partnership
with ,his son-in-law in the lumber;
business in Calgary.
