Robert Whaley, of Eden, who has
been visiting relatives and friends in
Alberta for the past twolmonths, re-
turned home Saturday. His many
friends are pleased to see him looking
so well.

Eyck, of the Trivitt Metnnraal church,
passed away at his residet.aa in that
city, a victim of paralysis. Rev. Mr.
TenEyck had visited him for some
days previous to his demise.
On Tuesday evening a very severe
electrical storm passed over this sec-
tion. It gathered as quickly as it.
would in August, and was as fierce as
a summer storm. Among the barns
destroyed hy the lightning, we learn
of J. H. Schnell's near Zurich, togeth-
er with the contents.

Monday evening paid a visit to the
League of Main-st. church, when a
very excellent and intellectual pro-

made short addresses in reply to an
address of welcome by H. E. Huston.
Miss Mayme White, who '• has been
visiting her grandmother, Mrs: John
White, here, for some time left on
Monday for Toronto, where she will
visit for a week prior to going to
Ottawa to join the family, .who move
