wild cat report of an accidental shoot-
ing of Samuel Speare has been circul-
ated. A later account reveals the re-
port to be untrue as Sam appears to

of Cromarty, has returned from a

BRIMS -On Tuesday last the mem-
bers of the Stratford presbytery met
in the church at Cromarty for the pur-
pose of inducting the Rev. Mr. Cran-
ston into the pastorate of the tvi o
congregations of Oromarty and:Roys:
After the usual 'examination of the
prospective pastor by the presbytery.,
the service of induction was proceeded
with. The congregations were out hi
large numbers filling the church to
overflowing, and' '`a, very impressive
service;was witnessed by those pres-
ent. When the service was over in
the church, supper was served in Mr.
Cullough's hall, after which all went
to the church, where a good -program
was rendered, consisting ofsinging,
speaking and music, There being an
abundance of eatables left, a social
