WEDDING BELL.—On Wednesday the 19th inst„ the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Wurtz, Orediton, was the scene of a very happy and pleasant event being the marriage of their daughter, Miss Elizabeth, to Joseph Krupp, of Waterloo. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. G. Litt, of Crediton, in the presence of about twenty-five invited guests. The bride was given away by her father, assist- ed by Miss Martha Geiser, while Henry Heist supported the groom. Miss Clara Seigner played the wed- ding march as' the parties took their places. The bride was prettily and becomingly attired. After the cere- mony the company sat down to a very sumptuous weeding supper which both as to quantity and quality reflects great credit on those who prepared it. The bride is a very amiable young lady and held in high esteem by all her ,acquaintances and will be much ,hissed by a large circle of friends. The groom is a very highly respected citizen of the town of Waterloo, where he has a situation as machinist, The presents were numerous and costly, as well as useful and appropriate, and are a mark of the high esteem in which 7, the bridewas 'as held.. They left on Fri-, day for there home in Waterloo. We are sorry to lose you not only as teacher is our school but also as a friend and companion in the neighborhood, where you have shown by your cheerful countenance, friendly manner and willing heart that you are a perfect gentleman and sin- cere friend. During the past year you have en- deavored carefully to instruct the young. You have faithfully discharg- ed - ed your duties as teacher and your work has been much appreciated by the section. Your presence and assis- tance will be much missed by the church where your kindly sympathy and willinglhand have rendered invalu- able assistance. And in order that we may show you our appreciation by something more tangible than mere worlds we beg' you to accept this chain as a token of our esteem.
