of 12 seats in this province. There.

A. McCool is the Liberal candidate.
Quebec.
In Sir Wilfrid Laurier's Province
only 8 Conservatives have been elect-

next House. Inunediately prior to

spect by a large circle of friends.

Mrs. Fisher, of Niagara, willed on old
friends this week. Mrs. Fisher former-
ly lived in Mitchell, being a daughter
of Rev. Dr. Cornish. -- The -many
friends of Rev. E. N. tanker, will _sym-
pathize with him hi the death of his
wife Mr. Baker has a great many
friends here and in country where he
has preached during the past year. -
Rev. John Ball, of Kirkton, was, in
town on Saturday last. -During ser-
vice in the Methodist church on Sun-
day morning, some lads took about
thirty whips out of the buggies in the
shed. Some of thern were recovered.

was served at the Albert Hall from 6
o'clock to 8 o'clock after which an ex-

ger quantity of oysters than usual was •
consumed and everything done to
make this better than anything pre-
yious.
