morning last constable J, Westeott,
errested near Denfield, a young man,
Fred Harris, aged 10 years,on a charge
of stealing horse, harness and earn
from Thos. P. Kestle, of llth con.,
Stephen. The theft was committed on
Thursday night, about 10.30 o'cloek.
The young man drove off with the out-
fit, and berme going far fell asleep.
The horse took bini to Grand Bend,
when the boy turned and retraced bis
tracks via, Crediton road and south to
Denfield, where he was dickering with
a Mr. Hodgine for an excbange hor-
ses when arrested. He was brougbt
to Exeter, and before Sgoire Gregory,
pleaded guilty, who committed him to
Goderieh for sentence. The young
man is a native of Eugland and is one
of Miss Fry's emigrants. He had come
from Toronto here, but previously
worked a year with Thomas Francis,
of Fellerton,
