Choice butchers are steady. • Sheep and Lambs—The „. offerings were SO loads, including four loads of Canada lainbs. The market was slow on the common kinds, with a fair 'den -lend for the moderate supply of choice ones. Choice to extra .na- tives were quotable at 35.40 to $6; good to choice, $5 to $5.40; common to fair, $4 to $4.75. Sheep, .choice to- extra, $4.25 to $4.50; good to choice, $4 to $4.25.. There were sev- eral loads left over at the close. Ca- nada lambs were quotable at $5.50 to $5.70. Hogs—The offerings were 10 loads. There was a fairly active demand at the quoted prices. Nexe topic was "Is the League fulfilling its mission in the winning of souls, " was introdnced by Rev. Mr. Baugleof Ailsa Craig. This was followed by au excel- lent address by Mrs. T.. E.. Harriston, of Granton, on "The causes of ineffi- ciency in League work." The discus- sion on these papers drew forth much excellent information. Rev. Mr. Hus- sar of Crediton, then delivered an excellent address on -How the Lea- gue could assist the prayer meeting vncl -vice versa." The convention then adjourned to the basement of the cleuech. where an excellent' tea was prepared by the good ladies of Mensall. The evening session opened with a song service, lecl by Mg.:Stoneman, ;of Hensel!. Then 'came the introduction of the new president for the ensuing year,in the pereon of Albert Andrews, of Elimville, Mr. A-ndrews then took the chair for the balance of the even- ing, and after thanking the. 'conven- tion for the honor conferred, the pro- gram was continued. Dr. Embersone of Toronto, then addressed the con- vention oe 'The young peoples' For - 'ward Movement for naissions." He cleelt with the spbject from its racist important aspects and succeeded in enlisting the hearty co-operation of nearly all present in this noble work of winning the world' for Jesus. The Question Drawer occupied some time answering the queries presented by ths several members of the conven- tion. A. paper on "junior League" prepared by Miss Carrie Hicks, of Oentralie, was then read, 'after which the convenson came to a close, On the whole it was an excellent conven- tion and many lessons could be learn- ed and we believe the Leaguers went to their homes prepared to do better work for our Lord and Master, .
