Windermere, Muskok, july 11. -Hon.

yesterday morning while out fishing near
his own island, in company with Miss
Dowry. It appears that Smeator Sanford
found game difficulty in lifting the
anchor of his boat, end 'Was about to
leave it, when, teeming round, he lost
bis balance, upsetting- the boat, precipi-
teethes both himself and Miss Dowry into
the Water. Miss Dowry caught a lifebell,
Which the Senator made a practice of
carrying with him, holding herself up,
and 'tried to hold the Senator. Losing
her hold, the Senator sank and only rose
twine. On hearing the cries for help, Miss
Knight, a domestic in his •employ, went
tq the spot, • and rescuea the lady. 1 ist
could see nothing of the Senator. Taking
Miss Dowry to shore, about 100 yards,
she got her sister and returned.
They found the Senator in a standing
position, with hiebands placed on a rock,
Ids head about 18 inches under water,
and about six eeeb from shore. They
raised the body and took it to shore, and
went to Mr. Baker's, on Flerence
for help. AD, the men on the island were
away gathering moss for the Senator.
Mr, Baker at once rowed to Mr. T.

D011111 KIDNEY PILLS. THE CM.
Here is the proof:—
Mrs., S. Horning, Glasgow Street,
Guelph, Ont., says: "Doan's Kidney
Pills are grand. I have not been 111 since
taking them, which was over a year ago
last 'Winter, and ecu give them my warmest
praise ; for they restored rim to health after
25 years of suffering. Twenty-five yeare
ago I sprained my back severely, and ever
• since my kidneys have been in a very bad
state. • The doctors told me that my left
kidney especially was in a very bad con-
dition. A. terrible burningpain was always
present, and I suffered terribly from lutn-
bago and pain in the small of iny back,
together with other painful and distressing
symptoms, common in kidney complaints.
I could not sleep, and suffered much from
salt rheum
• "When 3 grst commenced taking Doan's
Kidney Pills I had little ot...no faith in them,
but I thought 1 would try thera; and it
peeved the best experiment I ever made.
I had only taken two boxes when the pain
left my back entirely. • Three boxes more,
or five in all, made a complete cure.
"After 2g years' of suffering from kidney
disease I am now healthy and strong again,
anti will be pleased to substantiate what I
have said, should anyone wish to enquire.",
