The following resolution has been prepared by order of the Quarterly Board of James st, churchat-its re- gular meeting on Feb. 10th, 1898 :-- "Resolved -"Resolved that the members o2 this Quarterly Official Board. desire to place on record their deep sense of the loss sustained by the death of Brother Richard Pickard and also their'high appreciation of his many sterling qualities. Brother Pickard was converted to God through the instrumentality of this church, and at once became an active member of its ranks and very soon took a useful place among its officials. Ho has long held the offices of Steward and Trustee. In these and other positions his in- fluence for good was very marled. His words wore few, pointed and influential, his attitude -was evon, kind and tending to peace. His con- tributions to the church, funds were free and generous. The needy found in him a ready friend, As a citizen he was highly esteemed, as abusiness man the community had con- fidence in his integrity. We hereby extend to Mrs. Pickard and family our sympathy in thou bereavement, their losswas sudden and heavy, but can they rejoice in the assurance that their loss was to the departed a welcome home, a "well done," and a "crown of life," JI Ps WM.=.Ea CLEARING SALE -OF- leseldie'& axed Gorst' Furs We have decided. to snake a great sacrifice in Furs rather than carry there over we will offer the balance at half the regular selling price for CASH ONLY.
