Stockton, CSI., July 27. -Farmer's are coining for miles to'see at work the biggest grain harvester in the world on Roberts Island in the San Joaquin River, near this city. The machine turns out t)0 -pound sacks of wheat every ininute. It has.a cutting line of 52 feet, and also threshes and the rain: In one run, sacks e no da ak ia. to 4,000 acre field it will turn out hund- reds of sacks of wheat ready for market, The cost of harvesting has been re- duced to aminimum by this machine and the number of days consumed in getting a large field ready for market will be about half that of the regular harvester. Eight cr ten, inlen handle it easily while it is turning out from 1,500 to 1,800 sacks a day of ten hours and sweeping 100 acres of grain clean. At present it, isww orkingin the heav- iest wheat ever grcwn in this country. The grain an the islands has always been tall and of rank growth, but this year it was much heavier than in past seasons. No difficulty has been ex- perienced in harvesting, as the trac- tion engine, which was built especially for the machine, pushes itthrough the thick grain witu about the same ease that an ordinary eugine would draw a waggon over a country road. I have nothing to sell and want no money, but bele >,• a firm believer iu the universal brotherhood of man, I ain desirous of helping the unfortunate to regain their health and happiness, I promise you perfect secrecy. Address with stamp,: WM. T. MULFORD, Agents Supplies, r. A. 13ox59, sr. nE\Rx gun From the Post, Sackville, N. B. Records like the following carry conviction with them, and in a pract- ical sense it night be saki. that alis is still the age of miracles. Mr. Edward Downey, of Maccan, N. Be. says:—"I have been a resident of Cumberland Co. some years. I have been a great sufferer for upwards of ten years with sciatic rheumatism. I was tortured with severe pains which at times would become almost unbearable, and I think I suffered almost everything a man can suffer and live. I was so crippled that 1 could not work and part of the time was not able to even move about. I became so weak, and my system so run clown that I de- spaired of ever getting better. My ease was an almost hopeless one, and as I had abandonedwork 1 was almost helpless for aver a year, I heard of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills and I WAS in- duced to at ]east give theirs a trial, In a short Nine began to recover, and tate agonizing pains ]eft my back and limbs, so that 1 was enabled to walk out of doors. Before I had used more than half a dozen boxes I was almost entirely well and could do a hard day's work. I had a good appetite and be- gan to gain flesh and feel like a now roan. I tun free front aches and pains and have Dr. Williams' Pink Pills to thank for it all," The reporter could not help feeling that Mr. Downey's case was at striking one, as he now pxea:as a stout Well bat figure, straight limbed and as smart in his movements as a young Iran of twenty, One of the commonest and most dangerous diseases of midsummer is Neurasthenia, or Nervous ti N Prostra on. This disease, which respects neither age nor sex, is usually brought on by overwork and worry in the shop, office, home and school, It is maintained by physicians of large experience that nervous diseases are increasing so fast that to -clay few people can boast of perfect freedom from nervous ailments. The syniptoins of nervous exhaustion are so well known that it is almost un- necessary to name them. Dizziness, sleeplessness, palpitation of the heart, shooting pains in the limbs, paralytic symptons, constipation and headache are the commonest leaders of the dis- ease. One of the first indications of nerv- ous disease is irritability, then ensues despondency, often followed by ter- rible i1 anity. How' 'u'an nervous exhaustion be cured so that insanity and death may be avoided? Past experience and medical testi- mony answer the question fully. Paine's Celery Compound is the only ss ediciue that can surely overcome the troubles of tbenervous. This marvell- ous curing medicine braces up every nerve, gives strength to the muscles and tissues, snakes pure, rich blood, gives perfect digestion and sweet, sound sleep. In this age of over'wvork, worry and Rist living, 'Paine's Celery Compound is a shield and protector against the ravages of all nervous ailments. Medi- c to o d cal men and druggists having a full of Hood's Pl1ls;knowledge of the virtues of )Pine's Compound are recommending up to date In ev¢ryelery d Safe, certain nn t every ay. Its cures attest its su eriorit and d ru lsts, 21i0: p y o The onlytidaSofultiess; its work in pniilic vii- , estitutions has given it a popularity !never possessed by any other medicine.
