rency. In round figures it has on
hand 570,000,000 in currency available
for its daily business.

this city in which "bucket shop" pro-
prietors have been successfully prose-
cuted by means of the postal laws
came before Judge Grosscup in the
United States District Court this af-
ternoon. 'William McClure, Dr. James
Craig, 3. E. McClure, John Ta..man
and W. A. Thomas, who were indicted
this term for using the mails to pro-
mote .a scheme to defraud, appeared in
.court with their attorney, and entered
a plea of guilty. The District Attor-
ney recommended a. fine of $1000 in
each case. The judge will pronounce
sentence to -morrow.
