DEATH OF "WILLIAM Seevies - The
sudden death of William Slavin on
Saturday last, has cast a gloom over
the entire community. He was the
best of health, and was working in the
straw mow, when he snddenly ex-
pirt d. Deceased had not complained
in the least and appeared very hearty,
and althotegh not realizing any pain,
the. doctors attribute the cause of
death to heart failure. Mr. Slavin
had been a resident of Usberne since
1883 and was highly respected by a.
large circle of friends. He was a
native of FermagleIreland, and emigrat-
ed to Canada some 14 years ago,settling
first in Usborne. He leaves a widow,
two sons and four daughters all
grown, who have the sympathy of the
community in their sad bereavement.
He was a member of the Oeange
Society and a Conservative in polities.
The fuueral on Monday . was largely
attended, the remains being interred
in McTaggart's cemetery..
