of the people in Hood's Sarsaparilla. If a
medicine cures you when sick; if it makes
(wonderful cures everywhere, then beyond
sllquestion that medicinepossesses merit.
That is just the truth about Hood's Sar-

because it cures,'not once or twice or a
hundred times, but in thousands and
thousands of cases. We know it cures,
absolutely, permanently, when all others

PHYSICIANS COMMENCE TO REALIZE
THE VALUE OF DODD'S KIDNEY

Ottawa, Aug, 10 --The inveterate re-
luctance to admit the sucess of !):stent
medicine. usually evinced by physici-
ans is rapidly giving way so far as
Dodd's Kidney Pills are concerned.
The cases of Dr. Rose and Dr. McCor-
mick' who published details of their
reeotery from diabetes and Bright's
disease, through the agency of this
remedy, were the first attacks on the
the citadel of their skepticism and
now it appeals ns if the remarkable
recovery of Mr. G . H. Kent, of this
city, the details of which have
been transmitted to the press, would
complete what has petro so auspicious-
ly begun. The published interviews
with Mr. and Mrs. Kent and the sok ern
statement of the former leaves no
foothold for disbelief,

Huron
Uounty Christian En-
deavor.
It is generally admitted that any
movement calculated to elevate and
improve the morals of mankind, is
worthy of cordial support and seen-
pathy. The Christian Endeavor move-
ment not only commends itself to the
public in this respect, but its progress
in all lands has been such as to -com-
mand attention and admiration. The
Huron County Christian Endeavor
Union, which is one of the active
church organizations of the county,
and aiming to do all the good it can,
has arranged for its annual conven-
tion, -which takes place in Knox church
Goderieh, on August 27 28, and has
endeavored tomake its program there-
fore as intensely interesting and pro-
fitable to all Christian workers as
possible. On it are such names as
those of Rev. W. Johnston, Episcopal
minister of Wardsville; Rev. Jos. Edge,
Goderieh; Rev. J. S. Henderson and
Rev. W. E. Kerr, Hensallt Rev. G. W.
Andrews, 1-Iolmesville; Rev. A.
Stewart and Rev. W. J. Ford, Clinton;
Rev. J. Hamilton, Wingham; Rev. S.
Bond, Seafortlt; Rev. Jas. Anderson,

Irwin, Clinton; F, Elford, Holmesville;
Miss McKenzie, Scafortit; Miss Ross,
Blyth; Miss Johnson, Lonclesboro; Miss

and others. This convention is likely
to be the best ever held in the county,
and we hope to see a large attendance
of all who are interested in promoting
the work of the Union.

Catarrh that becomes embedded, as

that all depends. Henry W. Francis,

the head for ten *,years. He says, "I
tried every remedy during these years
and also called in the assistance of
doctors, but little or no benefit came
to me. I saw Dr. Agnew's Catarrhal
Powder adyertised, and secured a
sample, which gave such speedy re-

medicine up to four bottles, when I
found myself absolutely and complete-

They Deserve Pity.
Safety and Life Depends Up-
on Paine's Celery
Compound.
We must sympathize with, and pity
the poor, weary and jaded sufferer
whose life is made miserable and
almost unbearable in the hot weather.
The healthiest of us have all we can
do to withstand the enervating effects
of scorching days and sweltering
nights. The sick mortals -heaven
help them -must suffer increased
agony during these hot days.
The troubles that bring low the
majority of people at this season are
nervous prostration, nervous debility,
dyspepsia, indigestion, headache, and
a host of trials that result from im-
pure and poisoned blood.
The above troubles attack men and
women because their supply of nerve
force is almost exhausted, Loss
of this nerve force and feebleness
is at the root of nearly every case of
sickness.
A true nerve medicine is what
is needed if health is to be restored,
and the dark grave avoided. Paine's
Celery Compound is a perfect and un-
failing restorer of nerve force and
power to the weakened and debilitated
system, It quickly cures prostration,
sleeplessness, headache, dyspepsia, in-
digestion; it cleanses the poisoned
blood and gives new life and perman-
ent vitality and strength.
Paine's Celery. Compound combines
the most efficient alteratives, lax-
atives and diuretics, and soon re-
stores the sick one to complete health.
To -day 11 is earth's most and reliable
medicine; it is made for your special
case, poor sufferer, and its use will im-
plant that state of health you are so
earnestly longing for.
As there are vile liquid imitations
sold in many places, insist upon your
dealer giving you "Paine's."

A TRIPLE ALLIANCE.
THAT HAS WON IN EVERY CON-
FLICT THE THREE GREAT
SOUTH AMERICAN REMEDIES.
NEVER FAIL IN THE CURE OF
RIHEUMATISM, KIDNEY DIS-
EASE AND TAE WORST FORMS
OF INDIGESTION.
The three great South American
Remedies, have been called into conflict
with many a desperate enemy, but the
case is yet to be recorded wl ere th .y
have not come out the victor. If we
take South American Rheumatic Cure
the store of the patients who have
been cured. by it reads like a fairy tale.
Mr. D. Dessuetels, of Peterboro', suf-
fered so terribly from rheumatism,
that he was blistered by doctors ten
different times, in as many different
places with the hope of driving the
disease from the system. His bands
were drawn out of shape and the fingers
almost destroyed. His left leg had to
be encased, in a plaster of Paris cast
for mouths. One week after using
South American Rheumatic Cure this
patient was like a new mate, and in a
short time was completely cured.
1Vheu South American Kidney Cure
is celled into question, unlike pills and
powders and medicines of that kind,
it nuu)ecliately dissolves the uric acid
and hardened substances that con-
stitute this disease, and the system rid
of these a cure is soon effected. Mr.
D. J. Locke, of Sherbrooke, Quebec,
says he spent over $I00 in treatment
for a complicated case of kidney dis-
ease, but received no relief. After tak-
ing a few doses of South American
Kidney Cure he felt wonderfully help-
ed, and, to quote his own words, I
have now taken four bottles, and con-
sider myself completely cured."
The worst forms of indigestion were
ciire:l by the use of Sot;t:i Anler:can
Nervine. It acts on the nerve centres
located at the base of the brain, from
which come all nervous troubles and
disorders of the stomach. Mrs. Ii.
Stapelton, Winghain, Ont., says: "I
had been troubled for a number of
years with nervous debility, in-
digestion and dyspepsia, and had been
treated by a number of the best
physicians in Canada and England.
